Summary
An Edwardian carbon print postcard depicting a half length vignetted portrait of a young woman. The image has a matte finish and a central oval shape shows some fading which matches the frame which it was in. Verso: Printed in black ink - Postcard markings with left side for Communication and right side for Address only. There is also a circular ink stamp (faded) which reads "Pickford, Photographer, Aberystwyth". Also, handwritten in pencil: "Griffiths, 43 Mt Pleasant St. ad. 2/11. Sat". and "wash copy". And the number 3 in blue pencil. It is likely that the image in the frame was purchased near the film's location and the frame used as a period prop to contain the image of the lead character Mary Jones (played by Gemma Jones).
