Summary
A Frena Gelatine Silver film negative depicting a view of a river scene in Chartres, France. The negative has rectangular cutouts on the top and bottom.The view is taken from the ground level, looking down the River Eure. On both banks, houses back directly onto the river, those on the right have baulks of wood extending from them over the river. In the mid distance a stone bridge crosses the river. To the left is Chartres Cathedral in the background.
