Summary
Hand-tinted and cased salted paper print half length portrait of a Victorian gentleman, seated. The image has faded considerably. It is in a dark red leather covered wooden case, lined in faded brown velvet. The image is mounted behind a fairly thick, arched-top rectangular gold coloured mat, under glass. The tray has a velvet-covered cardboard retainer around its perimeter. The case is hinged and has two metal hook and eyelet catches to secure it.

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
