Summary
A Frena Gelatine Silver film negative depicting a view of Le Bassin du Paradis, Calais, France. The negative has rectangular cutouts on the top and bottom.The view is taken from a slightly elevated position and shows a medium sized steam ship moored to the jetty. There are numerous people walking along the jetty, which has a number of railway/tram tracks embedded in it. There is a tram on the right in the mid-ground. The jetty backs onto a row of substantial 4/5 story buildings.
