Summary
A pinchbeck locket, containing two miniature portraits - a gelatine silver POP (or possibly collodion) print of a woman in the right hand side, and a hand tinted albumen print of a man on the left hand side. The woman is in profile facing left, with bare shoulders and hair tied back to the nape of her neck. The man is slightly turned left, looking forward wearing a jacket and with wavy hair. The locket is machine engraved in 5 columns with 2 alternating patterns on the front and the back. There is a loop attached at the top with a 40 cm gilt chain through it. On the chain is a folded small piece of paper with the number 2635 written on in black ink.
