Summary
An albumen print three quarter length portrait of A Henry Layard MP, mounted and in a frame. He is wearing a long coat and has his left hand resting on a chair. It is an rectangular image, curved at the top, with a dual gold border mounted on cream card. It is in a modern black plastic frame, with a hardboard backing. Markings: At the bottom of the image, underneath the gold border is printed in gold, "Photographed by MAULL & POLYBLANK, 55 Gracechurch Street and 187a Piccadilly, London" Recto bottom right of the mount, handwritten in black "A Henry Layard MP 1856"
