Summary
A gelatine silver stereoscopic glass slide depicting the Tombeau de Julien de Medicis, par Michel Ange, Florence. The image shows three sculpted figures. Two of the figures are reclining on the tomb and the third is seated in an alcove above the tomb. Part of a series by Ferrie, père, fils et Soulier (Charles Soulier and Claude-Marie Ferrier) is visible on the slide. A glass slide comprising two stereographic pictures on one piece of glass, and covered with a second piece of glass inside. There is black paper around the outer edges to bind the two pieces of glass. Markings: On a white paper label on righthand edge, handwritten in black ink: "7451, Tombeau de Julien de Medicis, par Michel Ange, Florence" Printed within the black border of the slide, bottom left, is: "7451, Tombeau de Julien de Medicis, par Michel Ange, Florence". Printed within the black border of the slide, bottom right, is: "Ferrier père, fils et Soulier"
