Summary
A gelatine silver stereoscopic glass slide depicting Vevey pris des bains, pres de Geneve (Suisse). It shows a lakeside view with a pier and a town on the far bank and mountains in the background. In the foreground a man stands fishing from a plank by a bathing machine. Part of a series by Ferrier père, fils et Soulier (Charles Soulier and Claude-Marie Ferrier). A glass slide comprising two stereographic pictures on one piece of glass, and covered with a second piece of glass inside which is a black and gold painted border with rounded edges. There is black paper around the outer edges to bind the two pieces of glass. Markings: On a white paper label on the right hand edge of the slide is handwritten in black ink: "7207. Vevey pris des bains,". Printed within the black border of the slide, bottom left, is: "7207 Vevey pris des bains, pres de Geneve (Suisse). ".
