Summary
A gelatine silver stereoscopic glass slide depicting Tombeau de Laurent de Medicis par Michel-Ange, Florence. A simple tomb with two reclining figures and a seated figure in a niche above. Part of a series by Ferrier père, fils et Soulier (Charles Soulier and Claude-Marie Ferrier). A glass slide comprising two stereographic pictures on one piece of glass, and covered with a second piece of glass inside which is a black and gold painted border with rounded edges. There is black paper around the outer edges to bind the two pieces of glass. Markings: On a white paper label on the right hand edge of the slide is handwritten in black ink: "7450. Tombeau de Laurent de Medicis par Michel-Ange, Florence". Printed within the black border of the slide, bottom left, is: "7450 Tombeau de Laurent de Medicis par Michel-Ange, Florence".
