Summary
A gelatine silver stereoscopic glass slide depicting the interior of the archbasilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, in Rome. The view is looking towards the altar. There are statues on plinths in alcoves on the right and left. The image is sepia toned. The slide is a single piece of glass, unmounted and unframed. In the space between the left and right images is printed a number 5 in a circle, followed by "Edizione dei Musei e Gallerie Pontificie". Slide 5 in Box 3.

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
