Summary
A gelatine silver stereoscopic glass slide depicting the Braccio Nuovo (New Wing) Gallery in the Vatican, Rome. There are marble statues on plinths in arched alcoves along the left and right walls. There are mosaics on the floor. This Gallery dates from 1822. The image is sepia toned. The slide is a single piece of glass, unmounted and unframed. In the space between the left and right images is printed a number 11 in a circle, followed by "Edizione dei Musei e Gallerie Pontificie". Slide 11 in Box 1.

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
