Summary
Imitation leather covered cardboard sliding box stereo viewer for glass stereoscopic slides. Simple sliding box design, made of cardboard covered with black imitation leather. A ground glass screen at the rear, on the inner sliding section, with a slot in front for slides to be inserted for viewing. Above this is a small brass catch which swivels to hold the slide in place. Black plastic surrounds the glass viewing lenses at the front, on the outer sliding section. The outer slides over the inner to enable focusing.

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
