Summary
A gelatine silver stereoscopic glass slide. The scene shows a view of a river, with large boulders in forming small waterfalls. On the right bank a large house can be viewed through trees. In the foreground there are flat rocks over which the river is beginning to fall. A glass slide comprising two stereographic pictures separated by a thin glass panel with a black fabric tape border: on the centre top edge of the border is handwritten, "1904" and on the bottom left corner is "PONT-Y-PAIR".
Provenance
Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
