Summary
An albumen print in landscape format, depicting The Plain of the Israelite Assemblage, Sinai, viewed from the convent. There are buildings in the foreground and a valley in the background, with steep mountain sides. The print is surrounded by a grey border that is printed onto the card mount. There is some foxing. Markings: Recto: Printed in black ink below the image and border: "The Plain of the Israelite Assemblage, from the Convent. "And Moses brought forth the people to meet with God, and they stood at the lower part of the Mount", Ex. xix. 17." Verso: No markings.
