Summary
An Albumen print depicting a view of Malvern, Worcestershire taken from the Malvern Hills. It shows the side of the hill and a small plantation of trees protecting the town. The Great Malvern Priory is central, surrounded in part by large residential buildings and what appear to be market gardens,with views over open countryside beyond. The print is surrounded by a grey border that is printed onto the card mount, which is subject to slight foxing. Handwritten in pencil, recto bottom left is the title "Malvern, from the Hills" and the possible number "738". A printed paper label is attached to the verso bottom right, "Frith's Photo-Pictures the Universal Series.

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
