Summary
Albumen print of the construction of the rail bridge over the River Mahanadi, Cuttack, India (landscape). It shows the masonry bridge piers in various stages of construction, using both local labour and numerous stream engines. On the extreme left is a light railway, used to carry supplies. Central beneath the photograph on the frame is the title: "Mahanuddy Bridge, General view from S bank. Decr/98
