Summary
Albumen print depicting the construction of the Bhranini (now Brahmani) bridge, Odisha, India in 1898/9 (landscape). It depicts a distant panoramic view of the bridge with some piers completed, but none of the spans erected. It is taken from what looks like a dried up river bed. In front of the piers on the left are mounds of gravel/sand/earth(?), with a steam engine on the river bank. In the midground, also on the river bank are 3 men, apparently, fishing. 2 joined images taped to form a panorama; a third has become detached.
