Summary
An albumen print photograph mounted on heavy cream card, extracted from an album. The image depicts damage to a flooded railway bridge, on the Bengal Nagpur Railway, Sine Midnapur, Calcutta Extension. The print shows a damaged masonry abutment (with rubble in the river and on the river bank). There are also uprooted trees in the river. The bridge supports are encased in wooden scaffolding and are propped up with large wooden balks. This view is taken from the other side of the bridge that is depicted in 1520766.4 This page from the album is on the reverse of 1520766.6
