Summary
An ornate black thermoplastic Union case, depicting an oval floral motif, including leaves and shamrocks, surrounded by an ornate border recto. This is replicated verso.The left hand side of the case is lined with purple velvet, with a flower motif. It is rectangular in shape, has 2 brass hinges and has a small pin recto and verso with an interior clasp. The size is 1/9th plate. The right hand side of the case has internal edges of brown felt and a cream paper insert printed with the following: SMITHS PATENT IMPROVED UNION CASE

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
