Summary
An ornate brown thermoplastic Union case. The case is lined in red, patterned velvet, it is rectangular in shape and includes a gold coloured ornate preserver. The size is 1/6th plate. The case contains the following statement printed on light blue paper in the space the image would fill: Littlefield, Parsons & Co Manufacturers of Daguerreotype Cases L., P. & Co., are the sole Proprietors and only legal Manu- facturers of Union Cases, with the Embracing Riveted Hinge Patented October 14, 1856 and April 21 1857
