Summary
A 20th Century cloth board photograph album. The album contains 47 mounted silver gelatine DOP prints of a variety of different sizes, together with 10 loose photographs and 4 text documents. The prints depict astronomical subjects. The album is covered in dark blue/green cloth. The spine and corners of the front and back boards are covered with black leather and are denoted with gilt embossed lines. Back pastedown: Top right corner in pencil '0.^' over '4/-' ; bottom left is a blue sticker with gold type text 'James A. Pollock. Photographic Dealer and Stationer, 47,Donegall Place, Belfast.' Flysheets are unmarked. First page of album is marked top right in pencil '2175'; below and laid out as follows, in black ink, underlined in red: No.1 Astronomical Album of Celestial Photographs taken at the leading Observatories of the World. Miscellaneous W. Redfern Kelly, F.R.A.S. Dabriada, Malone Park, Belfast The album pages are separated by interleaving tissues.
