Summary
An albumen print photograph of the Church of San Giovanni degli Eremiti. This is labelled as one of the earliest existing Norman churches and shows an arched cloister with a higher domed structure. The photograph has diagonally cut corners. The print is in portrait and is mounted on a page of heavy white card. Markings: Below the print, handwritten in black ink and underlined, are the words: "Church of San Giovanni degli Eremitti. One of the earliest existing Norman Churches." .

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
