Summary
An albumen print photograph depicting the Porta Felice, Palermo. The view is of two large buildings forming a gateway onto a long street. The buildings are decorated at the top with spread eagles, recessed statues centre and water fountains at the bottom. There is a stationary horse drawn carriage with a driver right, and other figures centre. The photograph has diagonally cut corners. The print is in landscape and is mounted on a page of heavy white card. Markings: Below the print, handwritten in black ink and underlined, are the words: "Porta Felice Palermo" .

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
