Summary
An albumen print photograph of Ancient Columns at San Lorenzo,Milan, Italy. The view depicts the 16 Columns of San Lorenzo, prominent Roman ruins, located in front of the Basilica of San Lorenzo in central Milan. The columns are supported by metal ties attached to the buildings behind them. On the right there is a medieval gate, which has a number of (blurred) figures infront of it. The print is mounted onto the left hand page of the album on heavy white card. The photograph is in landscape format and has diagonally cut corners. Markings: Bottom of the page, handwritten in ink and underlined, are the words: 'Ancient Columns at San Lorenzo,Milan.'
