Summary

A monochrome albumen print photograph by George Washington Wilson, depicting a view of Inveraray Cross and Castle. A decorated stone cross in the foreground, the bay and the castle behind, also a wooded hill in the background. The print is mounted with broad paper borders. The corner shape is square. The photograph is photographically captioned from the negative: "INVERARAY CROSS, CASTLE AND DUNQUAICH. 1438. GWW." in the bottom left.

The Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
