Summary

A monochrome albumen print photograph by George Washington Wilson, depicting a view Castle Lachlan. The view shows a pebblyforeground, with a two rowing boats, one on the water, one on the beach. Middle ground shows the loch with a ruin on a tree lined hill. The print is mounted with broad paper borders. The corner shape is square. The photograph is photographically captioned from the negative: " CASTLE LACHLAN. LOCH FYNE. 2304. G.W.W." in bottom left.

Provenance

The Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
