Summary
A monochrome albumen print photograph by George Washington Wilson, depicting a view of George Square, Glasgow. The square has a statue in the middle of a figure on a horse, a tall column has a standing figure on top of it. Several horse and carriages are lined up on the right side, in the far background are buildings and chimneys. People are sitting on benches around the square. The print is mounted with broad paper borders. The corner shape is square. The photograph is photographically captioned from the negative: "GEORGE SQUARE, GLASGOW. 89. G.W.W." in bottom middle.
