Summary
An albumen print photograph depicting the Metropole Hotel, Blackpool with the beach in the foreground and the Metropole Hotel in the background. There are boats, people and bathing machines on the shore. The print is secured with broad paper borders. The corner shape is square. Markings: Handwritten in pencil on the page below the left corner of the photograph: "Metropole Hotel, Blackpool". Note: the hotel was known as "Bailey's Hotel" until 1896 when it was renamed the "Metropole Hotel".
