Summary
An albumen print photograph depicting Bowness in the Lake District, Cumbria. In the background is the Old England Hotel, and other buildings and huts and in the foreground is the lake edge with a number of boats moored. The print is secured with broad paper borders. The corner shape is square. Markings: In white print within the photograph, in the bottom left corner: "13305". Blind stamped in the bottom left corner of the photograph: "Frith's Series". Handwritten in pencil on the page, below the photograph to the left: "Bowness".
