Summary
An albumen print photograph of a painting, possibly in the Basilica of San Domenico, Siena. The painting depicts an angel carrying a lily stem to a saintly woman, presumably St. Catherine. Two further women appear in the background, clasping hands. Both scenes are framed by a series of painted arches. The print is mounted directly onto the page in the album.The print carries the photographer's blind-stamp 'Cav. Paolo Lombardi. Fotografo', bottom right corner.
