Summary
Ogden's New Century Photo-Album containing 200 Ogden's Guinea Gold gelatine silver print cigarette cards. The album is complete and contains mostly portrait images of prominent 19th Century historical figures. The whole album is bound in dark red leatherette. The front board is decoratively gilt embossed: 'Ogden's New Century Photo-Album'. The words 'New Century' are set in a large, gilt embossed decorative shield, centrally located on the front board. There are 17 leaves (34 pages) of stiff cardboard, each covered in paper with several apertures containing the Ogden's Guinea Gold gelatine silver print cigarette cards. Below each numbered cigarette card, printed in brown ink, is an informative description of the subject portrayed.
