Summary
A monochrome albumen print stereograph showing a man standing with his back to the camera and his right arm tucked into his side looking down an alpine valley. Stretching down the valley is a river, a road/pathway and a railway line. St Gotthard Pass is a mountain pass in the Alps, connecting northern and southern Switzerland. The images are mounted on stiff curved dark grey card with rounded edges. The images have arched tops and straight bottoms. Recto: Printed in black ink under the images: "St Gothard (sic) Pass, Switzerland. Copyrighted by M. E. Wright" In the left margin printed in italic: "Excelsior Stereoscopic Tours. M E Wright Publisher." In the right margin: "Excelsior Stereoscopic Tours. Hollingreave Road. Burnley." Verso: blank
