Summary
A gelatine silver print stereograph depicting an view of Hebron, the home of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, from the east. Palestine. In the foreground ( a possible olive grove) are a number of young boys with a donkey. . The print is mounted on stiff, curved, grey card with rounded corners. The images have arched tops and square bottoms. Recto: Printed in black in on the right lower margin: (41) - 3120 - Hebron, the home of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, from the east. Palestine. Copyright Underwood & Underwood.' In the left hand margin, printed in italic black ink: 'Underwood and Underwood Publishers New York, London, Toronto - Canada, Ottawa - Kansas.' In the right hand margin: 'Works and Studios Arlington, N.J., Westwood, N.J' In the centre top is printed in black ink the number 41. Verso is printed in black ink in English and 5 other languages : Hebron, where Dwelt Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Gen. xiii, 18).
