Recto: printed in English and German on the bottom edge of card to the right is 191A 'There is no rose without a Thorn' 'Keine Rose ohne Dornen'. On bottom left is printed Copyright 1889 by Littleton View Co. On left hand edge in italics is printed Littleton View Co Publishers, Littleton N.H. On right hand edge in italics is printed Sold only by Underwood & Underwood, Liverpool, New York, Chicago, Toronto, Ottawa, Kas, El Paso, Tex. Images are mounted on thick buff card. Card has a curved profile and rounded corners.
