Summary
A monochrome albumen stereograph card. Print is mounted on heavy grey card. Recto: depicting rocky landscape with cedar trees in the background and a mountain. On the left view of the stereograph, on bottom left hand corner, printed in black ink: Frith 455. Verso: Printed in black ink a rectangular note no. 455 entitled Views of the Holy Land. Followed by the detailed description of The Cedars of Lebanon. In bottom left corner of note: Entered at Stationer's Hall and on bottom right corner the word Depose.
Provenance
Part of the Fenton Collection, a gift from the British Film Institute (BFI) in 2017. From 1986-1999, it was part of the BFI's collection for the Museum of the Moving Image (MOMI). The BFI purchased the collection in 1986 from James Fenton (Fenton Museum of Photography), Port Erin, Isle of Man (1976-1986)
