Summary
A Stereograph Card with two monochrome external images of Redcliff Church Bristol. The images are on paper mounted on thick card which is now dirty but probably light brown, with some small tears around the edges. Recto there is a white paper sticker on the left side printed: REDCLIFF CHURCH, BRISTOL 315. Embossed on the right is: SEDGFIELDS ENGLISH SCENERY. Verso, handwritten in black ink is: Redcliff Church Bristol When built in 1440 it's spire was 292 ft high, but in 1446 it was struck by lightning and the upper part demolished as shown in this photograph and it was not rebuilt until 1872 when it was restored to it's original height. It is the fourth highest spire in England and one of the largest parish churches in the Kingdom. Dedicated to Saint Mary.
