Summary
A monochrome albumen carte de visite depicting an oval shaped half-length portrait of an unknown woman, seated and holding a muff. She wears her hair loose, a hat, and a large cross at the neck. Print is mounted on heavy white card Recto: no other markings. Verso: two further pencil markings, 2548 top right, 16971 bottom left, and printed in purple ink, photographed by Herbert Watkins, 215 Regent Street, London, special establishment for equestrian and instantaneous photography, 1, Torriano Ave, Camden Rd, NW.
