Summary

A monochrome albumen carte de visite depicting a view of Norwich Cathedral. Print is mounted on heavy white card Recto:printed at bottom is J.R.Sawyer, Norwich. Verso:printed in red ink, Solem certissima signa sequuntur, Sawyers Italian Studio, 46 London St Norwich, and an image of the sudio. Also, This negative is preserved and registered.

Provenance

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
