Summary
A monochrome albumen print in carte de visite format of a three quarter portrait of a young lady, her face partially hidden behind a fan. The card is marked recto with Stereoscopic Co and Copyright and the image has a red border. Verso, there is the elaborate logo of the London Stereoscopic & Photographic Company and written in ink top left Miss Lottie Venn.
Provenance
Part of the Fenton Collection, a gift from the British Film Institute (BFI) in 2017. From 1986 - 1999, it was part of the BFI's collection for the Museum of the Moving Image (MOMI). The BFI purchased the collection in 1986 from James Fenton (Fenton Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man. 1976 - 1986).
