Summary

A collection of letters, attached together with a round metal pin sent by H. Basil S. Sandford in France to his mother at Elmfield, Southwell. Handford was possibly stationed with John Becher and he talks about his experiences, referencing John Becher, John Jr and his daughter Mary Veronica. The letters date 11/4/1915 - 27/4/1915.

Provenance

Given by Edward Beaumont in 1998 by variation of the will of his uncle, whose wife Mary Veronica (d.1997) was the last of the Bechers of Southwell.
