Summary
A steel bladed saw with a turned oak handle. The handle of light varnished oak of turned baluster form and incised with three lines of decoration to one end. Issuing a rectangular fold of brass for securing the saw blade in, with a brass collar around the handle fixed on with a bent nail (added later). The steel saw blade of rectangular shape with a single pierced hole to one corner and with a single row of short teeth down one edge. With extensive plaster accretions to the blade.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Khadambi Asalache upon his death in 2006; acquired fully in November 2010.
