Summary
An aluminium can of metal polish, by Brasso. Of cylindrical form with slight protruding rim to the top and bottom edges. Surmounted with a moulded plastic red screw cap, with vertical ridges down the sides. The body of the can printed with a central red oval radiating blue and white beams.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Khadambi Asalache upon his death in 2006; acquired fully in November 2010.
Marks and inscriptions
Front: Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s royal approval crest above white printed script “BRASSO / METAL POLISH”, and the same text below in several languages. With further script in white to the front and reverse of the can. On lid: printed with blue script “SELECTRIC” above black printed script “ £2.49”.
