Summary
A beaten copper top to a vessel (probably a sugar bowl), possibly North African. Of hemispherical form and etched to the top with stylised foliage among lines of notch marks. With thin channels incised around the rim of the lid and a two protruding circular knops on opposing sides that would fit into a hinge. With a flat palmette moulded handle protruding from the rim.

Bequeathed to the National Trust by Khadambi Asalache upon his death in 2006; acquired fully in November 2010.
