Summary
An aluminium tin of wood dye, by Colron. Of rounded rectangular form, the top centred with a protruding neck with thread to the inside, now lacking a lid. Printed to the outside with an image of a hand staining some wood, with various script.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Khadambi Asalache upon his death in 2006; acquired fully in November 2010.
Marks and inscriptions
To the front: “COLRON” above black printed script “WOOD / DYE”. With “Jacobean Dark / Oak” printed in white on an adhesive brown paper label attached to the front. With further black script to the reverse.
