Summary
A ceramic warming plate, decorated with a dark brown transfer printed frieze depicting panels of military trophies and fruit clusters on a dotted and floral ground, around a central blank white ceramic ground. Upon a steel hollow dish bottom, circular in shape with an everted rim, with two steel wire handles fastened to opposing sides with a fold of metal. With a curved tubular spout protruding from one side with a cork bung later inserted.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Khadambi Asalache upon his death in 2006; acquired fully in November 2010.
