Summary
A late Victorian warming plate, with a circular blue transfer print decorated ceramic plate, upon a copper hollow dish bottom. The ceramic plate with a frieze of scrolling foliage around flowerheads set in oval frames, outside a further frieze of arcading. The copper bottom vessel circular in shape with an everted rim, with two copper wire handles fastened to opposing sides with a fold of metal. With a curved tubular spout protruding from one side with a circular screw cap.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Khadambi Asalache upon his death in 2006; acquired fully in November 2010.
