Summary
A ceramic cake stand by Ridgeway, painted in Chrysanthemum pattern. The dished circular top with a gilt rim around branching chrysanthemums flowering in red, brown, blue and pink, upon a waisted socle and flared foot with further pattern and gilt rim to it.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Khadambi Asalache upon his death in 2006; acquired fully in November 2010.
Marks and inscriptions
Underside: “CHRYSANTHEMUM” over a black transfer printed Ridgeway logo of a bow and quiver of arrows with “RIDGEWAY” written on the quiver. With orange paint numerals to the underside “473 / N”.
