Summary
A wooden cased valve radio set by Cossor. Of rectangular form with a rounded top front edge. The front set with a glass window within a brown plastic border, moulded with the script “COSSOR”. In front of a white needle over a black background printed with European city names in white script. Over three black plastic dials and a rectangular, brown woven speaker cover.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Khadambi Asalache upon his death in 2006; acquired fully in November 2010.
Marks and inscriptions
Reverse: Printed in black script “Instructions for using Cossor A.C. Mains All Wave Superhet Receiver 71”, above further instructive script and a diagram.
