Summary
A Hypnos double bed mattress, upholstered in a blue and white striped silk and wool composite, with buttons to the top and bottom, and two handles to each side.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Khadambi Asalache upon his death in 2006; acquired fully in November 2010.
Marks and inscriptions
Attached to the side by the seam.: Bearing polyester label sewn in printed in blue ink “HYPNOS” beneath two royal crests, with extensive script detailing the merits and composition of the bed.
