Summary
A pine low step (for a dog), made by Khadambi Asalache, from a wine crate. Of rectangular form, the front with pierced frieze of linked people with an animal, upon an arched support flanked by two further pierced and arch supported sides.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Khadambi Asalache upon his death in 2006; acquired fully in November 2010.
Marks and inscriptions
Back: “Chateau des GONDATS / SÉNÉCLAUZE – Proprietaire” around a plaque of two rampant lions with an S in a heraldic shield.
